China and G7 countries contribute 70% global GDP 55% carbon emissions. A multiregional input–output (MRIO) model based on WIOD database constructed, structural decomposition analysis (SDA) employed. results indicate plays role net exporter with G7, which mainly flows US (5825.67 Mt), Japan (3170.36 Mt) Germany (1409.93 Mt). However, China’s exports show an inverted U-shaped trend turning point after financial crisis, while G7’s continue rise. conclusion achieve climate goal neutrality, it not enough rely solely low-carbon transition production side, demand side should also be adjusted.
